As a long user of high end CRT for imaging I was hesitant to buy an flat screen monitor. I researched & discovered the HP LP2475W. The picture quality of this monitor is exceptional. The color fidelity is very good. For about the same price as my last Sony CRT I do not miss the CRT. I am very happy with my decision.

Really great monitor. The colors are very vivid, and it's very bright(turned it down). I bought it to get more accurate colors than my previous TN panel monitor(for amateur photography editting). It certainly does that. Also because I didn't want a 16:9 ratio or only 1080 lines vertically. It's also works well for gaming and movies. It has a USB hub built in, but only 2 of the ports are conveniently placed on the side, the other 4 point down(mouse, keyboard and card reader would be fine there, I guess). I like the height adjustment, it does stay put well. The high resolution is really appealing. It has a nice matte surface, none of that terrible glossy gimmick.

I know others have said theirs has magenta and green tints, but I've noticed no such problems with mine.

This monitor is awesome: However I don't use it for high end imagine editing like most people that pay this kind of price for a monitor. I was thrilled that it was delivered ahead of the projected delivery date and everything worked right out of the box. This monitor is used as an external monitor on my macbookpro. No set up required just plug and play!
